Finding Meaning and a Fulfilling Life Through God:
Jesus encourages us: "Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you!
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears me calling and opens the door, I will enter and we will eat together.
God longs for a personal relationship with you because He loves you. He wants you to become His child and accept Him as your Father through Jesus Christ. Because He sent Jesus Christ, His Son into the world so that we can have a relationship with God again and live in His love.
Because of what Jesus Christ did, we can give up everything that stands between God and us, and what we have ever done wrong or will ever do wrong will be forgiven through your confession before God, and you can live eternally with God the Father, who loves you infinitely.
What did Jesus Christ do for us?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3, 16
Beginning of the relationship with God
1. Ask God for forgiveness:
Your first step is to ask God for forgiveness and, with His help, change your life: „Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20 and he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you…“ Acts 3, 19 + 20.
2. Believe in God's gift:
After asking God for forgiveness, believe in the gift God has given you. God's gift is forgiveness and eternal life. He gives it to you through Jesus Christ for free. You cannot earn it yourself, but only have it given to you.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2, 8 + 9
Grace means as much as "undeserved favor". God gives you this grace that you cannot get through your own effort. You do not have to work for this gift. But all that is required of you is to believe God with all your heart that Jesus Christ died for your faults and through that you can come to Him. Do you believe that?
3. Entrust your life to Jesus:
The Bible, God's Word, assures us that those who sincerely ask God for forgiveness, trust Jesus and love Him will receive a new life in Christ.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10, 9 + 10
Surrender your life to Jesus Christ with all your heart. Preferably today. Confess your sins/mistakes to God and ask God to forgive you. Tell Him that you trust Him and thank Him for the gift of forgiveness and eternal life. God cares about the attitude of your heart.
Here is an example of how you can say a life surrender prayer to God:
God, I have realized that I have made mistakes in my life and have determined my own life, and as a result I am separated from you. Please forgive me for my fault, my mistakes, so that I can come to you. Thank you for forgiving my sins through what Jesus Christ did for me. I trust in you, God. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me on the cross and bore my guilt and was raised from the dead. He is my redeemer. Jesus Christ, I now surrender my life to you. Please take dominion in my life and change me. Thank you, God, for your gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Thank you for loving and accepting me as I am. Please help me to live my life for you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
4. Receive God's grace:
Accept this gift of forgiveness and eternal life and live in God's love. Receive it with an open heart to live in Jesus Christ.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1, 12
When you invited Jesus Christ into your heart, you became a child of God. You have the privilege of talking to Him in prayer. At any time. God is waiting for you to come to Him at any time and tell Him everything that moves you.
The Christian life is a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The best part is that this relationship is because of God's love for us and will last forever!
